Q: I DON'T OWN A GUN. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO SHOOT AT YOUR RANGE?
A: We have everything you need. You don't need to bring a thing. Simply show up and we'll supply everything you need to have a positive shooting experience!
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
A: We are open :
Monday - Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM & Sunday 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Last shooter allowed on the range one hour before close. (Uniform side of Patrick's is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If the main doors are locked after uniform side has closed, please use side entrance for gun range.)
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST TO USE THE RANGE?
A: Your costs will vary, but the basics are:
- Lane fee is $17.50 - Single Shooter / $20 - 2 Shooter per hour, per lane
- Eye/Ear protection is $1.00 each - Targets are $1.99 each and we have several available to choose from.
- Ammunition prices vary depending on caliber.
Q: I AM ONLY GOING TO SHOOT A FEW MINUTES - IS THE PRICE LOWER?
A: No, lane fee is still $17.50 - Single Shooter / $20 - 2 Shooter per hour, per lane.
Q: DO YOU HAVE GUNS TO RENT, OR DO I USE MY OWN GUN?
A: We have close to sixty hand guns available to rent, rental fee is $10 (flat rate.) We also have several types of long guns available, rental fee varies on each rifle. You are more than welcome to use your own gun. (No shotguns, shotgun loads, black powder rifles or pistols, or rifle calibers above 5.56 allowed.)
Q: CAN I RENT A GUN TO TAKE HOME?
A: No. All range guns stay at the range.
Q: WHAT TYPES OF AMMUNITION ARE ALLOWED?
A: We allow
only brass or nickel cased ammunition, and absolutely NO reloaded rounds. We reserve the right to inspect all ammunition and firearms.
Q: WHAT CALIBERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE RANGE?
A: All pistol calibers are allowed. Rifle calibers up to 5.56. No shotguns,
shotgun loads (ie: .410 for the Judge, AK's, or hunting rifles).
Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE MAY BE ON A LANE?
A: There is a two person per lane limit for safety reasons. If you have more
than 2 people who wish to shoot, you need an additional lane.
Q: DO YOU NEED A PERMIT TO SHOOT?
A: No, you do not need to be a GWCL holder to shoot at our range.
Q: I AM NOT A RESIDENT OF GEORGIA. CAN I STILL COME SHOOT?
A: Yes, you can! You do not have to be a Georgia resident, or a US resident to shoot with us.
Q: CAN I SHOOT TWO GUNS AT A TIME, LIKE IN THE MOVIES?
A: No. That is not Hollywood. Please limit your shooting to one gun at a time.
Q: CAN I GET MY GEORGIA WEAPONS CARRY LICENSE THROUGH YOUR STORE?
A: No, we do not issue carry permits. You will need to go to the probate court in your county and to the appropriate office for fingerprinting to be done.
Q: CAN MY CHILD SHOOT WITH ME?
A: If your child is between the ages of 12 and 17 and has taken the
Handgun Fundamentals class with you, yes he or she is more than welcome to shoot with you. If you and your child have not taken the class, we offer the class the first and third Saturdays of each month. Please check our class schedule on line to make a reservation for this class.
Q: DO YOU OFFER CLASSES?
A: Yes, the first and third Saturday of each month, we offer the
Handgun Fundamentals class. Class begins at 8:00am and lasts about 4 hours. Cost is $50. Additional classes by appointment are: Pistol 101, Buyer Beware, Introduction to Handgun Carry, & NRA's Refuse To Be A Victim.
Q: I HAVE NEVER SHOT BEFORE. CAN SOMEONE COME HELP ME?
A: Yes, we have instructors on staff who can help you. There is an additional cost for this service.
Q: CAN I PURCHASE SPENT BRASS FROM YOU?
A: No, we do not sell brass.
Q: DO YOU TAKE TRADES/SELL USED GUNS?
A: Generally speaking, no, we do not accept trades or sell used guns. There are exceptions, and range staff will consult the owner on your behalf.
Q: DO YOU PRICE MATCH?
A: No, we do not price match.
Q: IS THERE A GUNSMITH AVAILABLE
A: Yes, we have two gunsmiths and armorers on staff. They are certified through several different manufacturers and can work on a wide variety of handguns and long guns.
Q: CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION FOR A LARGE GROUP?
A: Yes, you can. Please call at least two business days in advance of your event to set this up. We also offer Private Parties after hours if you'd like a more special event for your group. Because we close at 6:00, we are able to offer events such as birthday parties, family reunions, guys night out, girls night out, and other events that make having the range all to yourselves more special!
Q: OUR GROUP WOULD LIKE TO SPLIT THE BILL. CAN WE DO THIS?
A: Please have one person designated for payment on check out. To keep the checkout process quick and smooth, we do not split the bill. An itemized receipt will be provided once the transaction is complete.
Q: DO YOU SELL AMMUNITION FOR RANGE USE AND DEFENSIVE USE?
A: Yes, we have a large selection of both range ammunition and defense ammunition available. Prices are very competitive and we have a large assortment of ammunition available.
Q: HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO PURCHASE AMMUNITION?
A: Shotgun and rifle ammunition may be purchased at age 18. Handgun ammunition purchasers must be 21.
Q: MAY I TAKE PICTURES WHILE ON THE RANGE?
A: Yes you may.
Q: CAN YOU TELL ME IF YOU HAVE *insert item here* IN STOCK AND WHAT THE COST IS? OR WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE?
A: Most of the time, a staff member is available to look up an item and its price for you. Please understand though, that during peak hours and on weekends, we may not be able to price things quickly. Due to the large volume of stock, we do not know off the top of our heads if that exact item is available. Your best option is to stop in and see us.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO SHOOT? I'VE NEVER SHOT BEFORE.
A: For your protection and safety. we strongly encourage CLOSED TOE SHOES/SNEAKERS/BOOTS. V-neck, spaghetti strap tops, or skimpy attire exposes more skin for potential brass burns. Covering up prevents injury, and proper footwear prevents slips and falls on loose brass.
